1) One of the three favourite genres that i like the most from the list is action. The conventions that i like the most from the genre is the use of the man from fast and furious leaping from car to car, and the use of the tank in the background gives the connotations of explosions and violence. other films from this genre that i have watched and enjoyed from this genre is the avengers, taken (1&2) and lastly kill bill.
Genre preference 2:
2) Another one of the three genres that i prefer in the list is horror. the conventions that i like the most from the genre is the of the huge house which looks pretty isolated and mysterious. the use of the longshot portrays to us the white girl who is about to go through something quite bad or tragic. Other films from this genre that i have watched and enjoyed from this is scream,the omen, and the shining as i feel they fit the codes and conventions of horror very well
genre preference 3:
3) The third and final of the three genres that i prefer in the list is crime, The conventions that i like the most from the genre is the use good use of props, for example the gun, the fact they are all sat around a table full clearly gambling also tells me its crime. The costume also gives that crime type of genre as they are all dressed in suites. not to mention the use of the light shining down on the table gives me the idea that they are in a dark room which adds to the crime genre affect. Other films from this genre that i have watched and enjoyed is inside man,Good fellas and lastly seven.
